The Umiew CMU team conducted FPA Contest 2 and 3 on 18 November 2025 at Iewpomtiah village under Mawryngkneng Block. A total of 14 participants—7 from FPA Contest 2 and 7 from FPA Contest 3—presented their innovative ideas and proposals. The programme witnessed active community participation and demonstrated a strong commitment towards sustainable development and environmental protection.

The Participants proposed collective ideas focusing on livelihood enhancement, soil and water conservation, and the broader developmental needs of the village. Their submissions reflected the priorities, concerns, and aspirations of the community.

The winning ideas from FPA Contest 2 included proposals on piggery, mushroom cultivation, kitchen gardening, and vermicomposting. The selected proposals from FPA Contest 3 focused on the construction of a check dam, rooftop rainwater harvesting in schools, afforestation, and the installation of a filtration tank.
