Focus Group Discussion (FGD) cum Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) on Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES)
On 23rd June 2026, the EKH CMU Team, together with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Team, conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) cum Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with the communities of Mawmyrsiang and Tiewlieh under Laitkroh Block. The exercise aimed to assess the feasibility of developing a Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) model to incentivize sustainable community practices in agriculture and agroforestry, forest conservation and restoration, soil and water conservation (SWC), and the protection and rejuvenation of natural resources.
