FPA 2 & 3 Contest Conducted at Umphyrnai VPIC
The CMU team successfully conducted the FPA 2 & 3 contests at Umphyrnai VPIC under Mawryngkneng Block on 3rd September 2026. The programme was an overall success, marked by enthusiastic participation from the community, particularly women and youth.
Under FPA 2, six contestants presented diverse ideas for sustainable livelihoods, including mushroom cultivation, floriculture, pickle-making, and plantation. The winning proposal was Mushroom Cultivation.
Under FPA 3, five participants presented innovative ideas focused on natural resource management, with Construction of a Rainwater Harvesting Structure selected as the winning proposal.
A particularly heartwarming highlight of the programme was the participation of a woman who competed alongside her young daughter, reflecting the true spirit of community participation, inclusivity, and empowerment.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners, in recognition of their innovative ideas and active participation.
