Ganol Catchment team held a community meeting at Karaitola Village under Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills District, to facilitate the formation of the Village Project Implementation Committee (VPIC).

On 5th November 2025, the Ganol Catchment team held a community meeting at Karaitola Village under Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills District, to facilitate the formation of the Village Project Implementation Committee (VPIC). The village consists of 66  households, inhabited by the Koch community under the Rerapara Block in the South West Garo Hills District.

The key discussion during the meeting was on the project objectives, activities, duration, source of funding and management process, Formation of the VPIC, the composition and roles of the Executive Committee, Local Purchase Committee (LPC), and Village Community Facilitator (VCF), Unit division, coverage area, role of the implementing agency, expected benefits for community development and long-term sustainability. 

The community appreciated the team and acknowledged the VPIC formation. They informed that they will conduct a village meeting to further discuss and finalize a collective decision based on community consensus.
