Ganol Catchment team held a community meeting at Rongonagre Village to to facilitate the formation of the Village Project Implementation Committee (VPIC).

On 4th November 2025, the Ganol Catchment team held a community meeting at Rongonagre Village to to facilitate the formation of the Village Project Implementation Committee (VPIC). The village consists of 24 households, inhabited by the Garo community under Rerapara Block in South West Garo Hills District.

During the Meeting , the team provided an overview of the project, its implementation timeline, and the three core objectives. The importance of forming the VPIC for ensuring community-led planning and execution was also highlighted, roles and responsibilities of the Executive Committee and other key functionaries were discussed in detail. The community members actively engaged in the discussions and expressed a strong interest in moving forward with the VPIC formation. They demonstrated a good understanding of the project’s goals and reaffirmed their commitment to support the process and contribute towards effective project implementation.
