Plantation Plot Inspection by Ganol CMU Forester Team
On 3rd September 2026, the Forester Team of Ganol CMU, along with VCF Abisela VPIC, visited the plantation plots of six beneficiaries to assess the progress and maintenance of the plantation activities. The following observations were recorded:
Smti. Silme Sangma – Model No. 14: The plantation work, including fencing, has been completed, and the planted seedlings are growing healthy. However, the beneficiary has not followed the prescribed model norms and recommended spacing.
Shri Jembal T. Sangma – Model No. 14: The plantation and fencing work have been completed, and the seedlings are growing healthy. However, urgent weeding is required for proper maintenance. The VCF was advised to direct the landowner to undertake the necessary weeding.
Shri Netsing Marak – Model No. 3: The plantation and fencing work have been completed, and the planted seedlings are growing healthy.
Shri Inchal A. Sangma – Model No. 13: The plantation and fencing work have been completed, and the seedlings are growing healthy. However, urgent weeding is required to ensure proper maintenance of the plantation.
Shri Walleng Ch. Sangma – Model No. 23: The plantation and fencing work have been completed, and the planted seedlings are growing healthy.
Shri Nensing Marak – Model No. 16: The plantation and fencing work have been completed, and the planted seedlings are growing healthy. However, weeding is required for better maintenance of the plot.
Overall, the plantation plots were found to be progressing well, with healthy seedling growth observed across all six sites. However, weeding and adherence to prescribed model norms and spacing need to be ensured for effective maintenance and long-term survival of the plantations.
