The Umiew CMU team successfully conducted a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise at Laitjem on 19th March 2026, with active participation from women, men, and youth of the community.
During the programme, key information was gathered using various PRA tools, including the Seasonal Calendar, Resource Map, Social Map, Seed Calendar, Transect Walk, SWOT Analysis, and Problem Analysis.
The community emphasized the importance of soil and water conservation measures and identified priority activities such as the construction of check dams, retaining walls, and spring chambers.
On the same day, the team also visited Sadew VPIC to monitor the ongoing construction under FPA-2 activities and conducted a site inspection for the proposed construction of spring chambers under FPA-3 activities.
